Bonnaroo 2025 looked promising — that is, until torrential rains came midday Friday and put an end to the whole festival for the year, the second time the fest has been rained out. In July, organizers announced that Bonnaroo would return to The Bonnaroo Farm in June 2026 with some changes to attempt to mitigate future weather-related issues. And now we know who’s playing, thanks to a lineup announcement that’s landed about a month earlier than usual.
At Bonnaroo 2026 — opening night on Thursday, June 11 — is going to be a bit more limited of an affair with a shorter run of performances, seemingly slated just for the main What Stage. Electronic producers Skrillex and Four Tet, rapper Vince Staples and rock band Spiritual Cramp are set to play.
The fest returns to more typical programming Friday through Sunday with some solid gets. The rock side of things is quite strong with offerings like Wet Leg, Wednesday, Turnstile, Geese, Amyl and the Sniffers, Japanese Breakfast, Modest Mouse, The Strokes, The Chats, Osees (fka Thee Oh Sees), Blondshell and Rainbow Kitten Surprise.
Kesha has a regular set in addition to hosting Superjâm Esoteríca: The Alchemy of Pop. Soul-schooled pop-and-rockers Alabama Shakes have been back in business and they’ll be there too, along with Blood Orange, Mariah the Scientist and hip-hop notables like the also-reunited Clipse, crunk king Lil Jon and Freddie Gibbs teamed up with The Alchemist. Folk-mericana star Noah Kahan will be there as well as electronic production champions like Rüfüs du Sol and Major Lazer. Trixie Mattel has a DJ set, and Boys Noize — the DJ Nashvillians saw open for Nine Inch Nails a few weeks ago — is also on the bill. Weird Al’s Bigger & Weirder Tour is even stopping in for a “Saturday Late-Night Roovue.”
Is all this enough to get fans past the frustration and disappointment of the cancellation and back into the festival spirit? Only time will tell. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. Central.
