Word comes today that Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will return to The Bonnaroo Farm June 11 through 14, 2026, with some changes outlined in a press release also posted to Instagram.
Tweaks include no longer using campsites that saw the heaviest flooding during the storms that canceled this year's festival (which will reduce camping capacity), moving the earliest times for camping entry back from Tuesday to Wednesday and programming only the main What Stage on Thursday as opposed to the entire range of stages. The Infinity Stage, which made its first appearance this year, will not return, while the UFO Stage at Where in the Woods will move elsewhere in Outeroo and continue to host electronic artists and DJ sets.
Organizers cite Friday downpours and weekend forecast in decision to call off the remainder of the festival
Organizers called off the 2025 run of Bonnaroo after just one day when heavy rain soaked the farm on Friday, June 13. Just as when rain forced Bonnaroo to cancel in 2021 (after shifting to a September date with respect to COVID protocols), a few performances were rescheduled at venues in Nashville and elsewhere in Middle Tennessee. This year’s ticketholders were initially offered refunds for the canceled portion of the festival. Later, that offer was increased to a 100 percent refund, and a series of surveys asked festivalgoers for feedback about some proposed changes to the structure and timing of the festival.Â
The release adds that the response plan for site improvements following the 2021 cancellation is ongoing, and that “an additional multimillion-dollar budget” will be allocated to further projects to mitigate extreme weather impact. Per the text, the overwhelming response to the surveys showed a preference for keeping Bonnaroo in June, and organizers consulted weather experts who confirmed that the area experienced uncommonly wet weather this spring and early summer.
