Mumford & Sons to Play Bridgestone Arena

Marcus Mumford performs at Bonnaroo 2015

Nashvillians will have another reason to get emotional on Tax Day 2016 — that's when Mumford & Sons play Bridgestone Arena.

This marks the British-stadium-grass-bros-turned-plugged-in-arena-rockers' first Middle Tennessee stop since a redemptive headlining set at Bonnaroo back in June (that, even despite fits of melodramatic spitting and angrily kicked-over drum kits, The Spin kind of enjoyed), and first appearance in Nashville proper since a sold-out three-night stand at the Ryman in 2012. To put it bluntly: Nashville has waited long enough to hear the heartstrung riffs of "The Cave" in the cavernous confines of the city's professional hockey haunt.

Tickets for the April 15 Nashville stop on Marcus and His Scions' fittingly heavy handily dubbed An Arrow Through the Heartland Tour go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. (right here) for prices ranging from $35.35-$55. Blake Mills will open.
