Get Well Soon, Nathan Followill!

Bummer news in Kings of Leon land, as drummer Nathan Followill (probably our favorite Followill) broke his ribs in a bus accident Saturday night. The incident occurred shortly after the band of brothers (and a cousin) performed in Mansfield, Mass., just outside of Boston, for what Followill

tweeted

was the “best crowd of the tour.”

According to a post on KOL’s official Facebook page, Followill was injured, fracturing multiple ribs, when a pedestrian jumped in front of the band’s tour bus, forcing the driver to break suddenly. The crash forced the cancellation of last night’s scheduled concert in Saratoga Springs, NY. No word yet on the fate of the 29 other remaining dates on the band’s current summer/fall shed tour, which, at press time, is set to resume Wednesday night in Wantagh, NY, following a scheduled Fallon appearance tomorrow night. But earlier today the sidelined drummer tweeted a photo (Blingee-fied above) of himself laid up in a hospital bed along with this message: “Saw a tweet that said I had died. Not quite, but it feels close. Who knew that you use your ribs for EVERYTHING.”

Scary shit. Bus/van/plane accidents are a looming danger to any band on the road, and here at the Cream we’re super glad to hear Followill is — despite being a little banged up — according to a thank you tweet at well-wishers, going to be OK.

Get well soon, Nathan!
