from local fraternal punk duo JEFF the Brotherhood, frontman Jake Orrall may have fractured his hand. "Doctor thinks it's fractured but can't tell this early," tweeted drummer brother Jamin from

the band's Twitter account

, "Can't play his guitar though, major bummer."

Major bummer indeed. As we reported, JEFF was in the middle of a tour with Best Coast. Though the duo claims that none of their "later June" shows have been canceled, they did indeed have to back out of the remainder of their dates with BC — that's Omaha, St. Louis and Dallas, not to mention a festival date June 2 in Houston. We've put in an email to the band's people, and will update this post if we find out any fresh info. Until then, get well soon, Jake, and get back to shredding.

Update: Infinity Cat rep and JEFFdad Bob Orrall had this to add: "Yeah, he slightly fractured his left hand so he can't wrap it around the neck and hold a chord — too painful. They'll be home today with 10 days to heal before next leg of tour. Basketball is Jake's new obsession!"
