Oh, it's on. Big time. Steve mentioned me mentioning it before, but that was before we had a serious, big-time, moving-picture rivalry on our hands. Two of the bands participating in tonight's Road to Bonnaroo 8 off 8th at Mercy Lounge have constructed promotional videos to get you out — or to not get you out — to tonight's show.
Shoot the Mountain have a 2001-meets-The Flaming Lips' Christmas on Mars thing going on with their video. Plenty of stop-motion, Christmas lights and fishbowls for astro-helmets. Very much my style. MODOC, on the other hand, take some sort of reverse-psychology approach, insisting that they don't want our company at Mercy Lounge tonight. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to answer MODOC's call for non-attendance with a genuine, "OK." I have prior obligations. See both of the videos after the jump.
