Hidden Currencies is a Brooklyn-based art collective that creates immersive multimedia happenings combining lighting and projection, dance, music, sculpture, art tech and more. They’re bringing their latest production to The Barbershop Theater on Nashville’s West Side: a two-night run of The Titan Sits, which is one part theatrical performance and one part art installation — and maybe another part Robert Wilson on Tennessee ’shrooms. There’s also a Beckett-esque theme at work here, pointing to the absurdity of time spent in the sure shadow of death. Like you needed another reason to art-party it up this weekend. Jan. 25-26 at The Barbershop Theater, 4003 Indiana Ave. JOE NOLAN
