Tupelo Honey Cafe, a smallish chain based in Asheville, N.C., that touts its "fresh, scratch-made Southern comfort foods, craft beers and cocktails," is coming to Cool Springs. The restaurant will open its first Nashville-area location on Oct. 19, the company says in a release today.
Tupelo Honey launched in Asheville in 2000, and has since expanded to Knoxville, Chattanooga and Johnson City, Tenn.; Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C.; Greenville and Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Arlington and Virginia Beach, Va.
The new outpost is opening at 2000 Meridian Blvd. in the Meridian Cool Springs mixed-use development. The 7,295-square-foot restaurant will seat 172, and there's a 50-seat patio. It will offer a full bar with 37 craft beers on tap, plus three craft cocktails on tap.
It will initially serve dinner only, but plans to add lunch on Nov. 2. Check out the menus here.
I haven't been to Tupelo Honey, but a colleague who formerly lived in Knoxville is a fan. How about you, Bites Nation? Anybody been to Tupelo Honey and want to share a report?
