Jimmy Dean sausage inadvertently received widespread publicity a couple years ago when it reduced the size of its sausage package from 16 ounces to 12 ounces without lowering the price.
One consumer, Randy Taylor, was furious and called the company to complain. You may have heard the profanity-laced audio — it was circulated on sites like Consumerist, which may actually be where it started. If you haven't listened to the complaint, go on and treat yourself to a Texas sausage lover's righteous indignation.. But not at the office or with the kids listening in.
The sausage is once again packaged in 16-ounce rolls, as we found on a recent trip to the store. Is it possible that one man actually made a difference?
