Great news this week from Nashville Originals, the area’s independent restaurant association. Bright and early tomorrow morning, the restaurants are having their quarterly gift certificate sale. It kicks off right around 7 a.m. with gift certificates of various amounts offered for purchase at 30 percent off face value. Newer members Green Hills Grille, Scout's Pub, and blvd will have certificates for sale as well as all the longtime favorites. Check the site early for the best offers. In preparation, you can peruse their membership website for a list of all the restaurants. Most gift certificates will be offered in $25 or $50 denominations.
Another great way to familiarize yourself with Nashville’s independent restaurants is to check out the Nashville Originals Restaurant Week. This semi-annual event runs Aug. 22-28 with member restaurants featuring prix-fixe menus with discounted pricing. Often the menus highlight new dishes as well as customer favorites to introduce new customers to the restaurants. Deals are available for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Check out menus as they’re posted on the Nashville Originals Facebook Page or your favorite restaurant’s social media.
