Nestled in a corner of the Historic Edgefield neighborhood in the shadow of LP Field, Sky Blue Cafe is one of those places that makes you wonder why it hasn't been more successful. Perhaps it has been because of some ownership changes and inconsistent opening hours, or maybe diners haven't wanted to venture away from the main drags of East Nashville onto Fatherland. Regardless, the new management has rejiggered the menu and the hours and it's now definitely worth the detour.
Chad Stuible has worked at Sky Blue since last summer and purchased the business in March. He and his staff have worked hard to create a great neighborhood hangout with dependable hours and inventive dishes. They are now open seven days a week with coffee and baked goods available starting at 7 a.m. and a full breakfast and lunch menu served from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Expect a lot of interesting daily specials including quiches, omelets, soups and sandwiches.
