The Corner Pub location in Midtown plans to close in May, ending a 10-year tenure at 2000 Broadway. The restaurant and its landlord were unable to come to agreement on terms for a lease extension, according to a note posted on the location's Facebook page.
Vanderbilt University owns the site, having purchased the 0.16-acre property last year for $2.5 million.
So far the university hasn't announced any plans for the site. It's directly across the street from Buckingham Companies' massive mixed-use development, Aertson Midtown.
Meanwhile, Corner Pub is "actively looking" for new locations, the restaurant says, and the Corner Pubs in Bellevue, Mt. Juliet, Brentwood and Franklin will continue to operate as usual.
"Our employees will have to opportunity to work at our other restaurant locations and we have already started that process with them," the statement adds.
