Check Out a New Food Truck Gathering, 'What the Truck,' This Friday

If you’re looking for a chance to check out an array of Nashville food trucks in a festive gathering, visit the

What the Truck Food Truck Jam

tomorrow night, May 15, at The Platform at

The Cook’s Kitchen

.

The Cook’s Kitchen is a commercial kitchen and commissary that’s a popular location for a number of well-known Nashville food purveyors to prepare their foods. Food trucks such as Hoss’ Loaded Burgers and Big Staxx, caterers such as My Veggie Chef and Nutrisha, and food manufacturers including Professor Bailey’s Spicy Pimento Cheese and Darn Good Salsa have used The Cook’s Kitchen as a base for storage and preparation for their businesses.

The Platform is The Cook’s Kitchen’s event space that opened last year. The pavilion — on Second Avenue South, between downtown and the fairgrounds — will host the What The Truck Food Truck Jams on the third Friday of every month throughout the summer (as well as other events). Admission to the event is free and includes on-site parking and entertainment as well.

There will be a cash bar for beer and, of course, trucks selling a variety of foods. The trucks scheduled for this week include Bradley's Curbside Creamery, Polar Tropical Shaved Ice, WickedKitchen, Lil Choo Choo BBQ, Pita Pit Truck, Craft Taps, A Taste of Nature and Bigg Staxx.

Sign up for free tickets on the Eventbrite page.
