Williamson County’s Homestead Manor Restaurant to Close After This Weekend

Thompson’s Station’s Homestead Manor, the restaurant housed in a historic building surrounded by 50 acres of protected land, will close its doors for good on Sunday. The restaurant and event venue has been owned by A. Marshall Hospitality (which operates well-known spots including Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant, Puckett’s Boat House, and Deacon’s New South) since 2015. It was popular in Williamson County partly because that land is protected by a permanent conservation easement through the The Land Trust for Tennessee, with a greenhouse and farm that grows herbs for local restaurants.

“Though it was out of our realm of expertise, we fell in love with the Homestead Manor property five years ago and were delighted at the opportunity to beautify and renew it,” CEO Andy Marshall says in a statement. “With the recent announcement of Puckett’s inclusion in the Nashville airport expansion and other plans for growth in the near future, we now feel that Homestead deserves more attention than we are able to dedicate to it.”

The team posted something similar on Facebook Thursday night: “Friends, we wanted you to be among the first to know that Homestead Manor will serve its last meal this Sunday, Feb. 24, closing at 4 p.m. after brunch.”

That final Sunday brunch, one of the restaurant’s most popular meals, will include 2-for-1 mimosas and bloody marys and other favorites. Events that are already booked in the barn for dates after Feb. 24 will still take place.

The building that houses Homestead Manor was built in 1819,  and over the years has been a home, a general store, a post office and a hospital.

Employees at Homestead Manor will be given the opportunity to transfer to one of A. Marshall Hospitality’s 11 other restaurants, according to the statement.
