1200 Broadway
Whole Foods Market will open in downtown Nashville at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28.
The 44,500-square-foot grocery is the anchor retail tenant in the mixed-use building 1200 Broadway. Whole Foods Market Nashville Downtown will employ about 120 full- and part-time workers, the company notes in a release. The store’s operating hours will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Whole Foods Market has two additional stores in the Greater Nashville area: one in Green Hills and the other in Franklin. The store offers food and beverage items with no hydrogenated fats, high-fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners, the company says in a release. Its beauty and body care products do not include, for example, phthalates, parabens and microbeads.
“We look forward to providing the Nashville community with greater access to high-quality food, grocery and body care products, as well as a destination to discover new flavors and local items unique to this area,” Heather Masullo, store team leader, says in the release.
Of note, 5 percent of the store’s net sales on March 11 will benefit local nonprofit Trap Garden.
