Super Snack Sunday: Where to Get Your Game Day Tacos, Brisket, Desserts and More

Anzie Blue's Appetizer Board for Four

The Super Bowl is this Sunday, Feb. 7. Whether you want to watch the game, the intermission, the commercials or the Puppy Bowl, you're gonna need snacks.

In this week's Critics' Picks section I lauded both Kernels Gourmet Popcorn and Marigold Gourmet Popcorn for being excellent Game Day snacks that you can eat and eat and eat without feeling gross. (Read more here!) But a snack-filled day needs more than just a big bucket o' corn. Here are hundreds of pounds' worth of food you can buy to stuff in your face this weekend.

Want your food on a board? Who doesn’t!

Marigold's "I Dig You" (dirt 'n' worms) popcorn

Cheese Gal’s food boards can be ordered online and delivered to your home. There are traditional cheese and charcuterie boards available as well as brunch boards with bagels, fruit and lox, and crudités boards with hummus. Prices start at $50 for a two-person picnic box but you could throw down as much as $450 for a spread that’ll feed 20 guests. (Please don’t have 20 people over to watch the Super Bowl unless all 20 of those people are a part of your household or quarantine bubble. We’re still in a pandemic. Besides, fewer people means more cheese for you!)

As I’ve written before, Anzie Blue has excellent snack boards, too.

Two of their newest creations are perfect for Game Day grazing. The Nacho Board ($75 for six people) is loaded with shredded chicken, ground beef, queso, two different kinds of salsa, guacamole and more and the appetizer board ($75 for six people) comes with chicken wings, pulled pork sliders, cheese curds and potato skins. Whoa.

Or skip straight to dessert with their s’mores or Valentine’s Day boards. The s’mores board starts at $45 for four people and is a gorgeous display of graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows, yes, but also pretzels, Oreos, Nutella, peanut butter, strawberries, caramel sauce and more. The Valentine board assortment is available now through Feb. 14 and it has chocolate-covered strawberries! Chocolate-dipped apricots! House-made brownie cheesecake bites! Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! Because you love football, you love snacks, you love yourself. Order online at anzieblue.com.

Prince's is currently taking preorders for pickup Sunday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. They've got tenders and wings available in multiples of 25 up to 100 and you can also buy sides like coleslaw, potato salad and beans by the pint as well as whole pies. Order at princeshotchicken.com.

HoneyFire Barbeque Co. in Bellevue has a meaty bundle that includes a pint of brisket queso, a pint of buffalo chicken dip, tortilla chips and a dozen wings for $29.99. If you’re smart, you’ll add on a container (or two) of their Best of Nashville-winning peanut butter banana pudding. Call 615-739-6121 or visit their website to place your order.

Redheaded Stranger has 10-packs of brisket, smoked chicken or bean and cheese tacos ($35 each) as well as pints of queso and guacamole ($6-$8) that you can pickup before the game on Sunday. You can DM them via Instagram to place your order and orders must be received by Saturday.
