Good things are worth waiting for — at least that’s what I keep telling myself. It's been more than a year since I first announced that Nick and Audra Guidry were planning to open Juniper in Lebanon as an adjunct to their beloved, casual wood-fired fine dining Pelican & Pig in East Nashville. Unfortunately, interminable frustrating construction delays have pushed that project off.
While the Guidrys are still working to get Juniper open, another exciting Lebanon project has moved to the front burner. They have recently announced via social media that they plan to open Olivia, an oyster and cocktail bar at 112 E. Main St. just off the Public Square in Lebanon.
In his official announcement, Nick Guidry promises that Olivia will offer “cocktails, wine, oysters, small finger seafood dishes, [in an] intimate, moody setting.” Olivia’s Instagram page promises those same things with the notable addition of chocolate cake, which makes it sound well-nigh perfect in my opinion. They’re hoping for an opening date sometime in the spring, but they didn’t say exactly which spring. We’ll be rooting for less red tape and fewer construction delays this time!
