Tickets are now available for the seventh annual Nashville Whiskey Festival, the educational tasting opportunity put on by the “Corkdorks” at Midtown Wine & Spirits. This year’s edition will be held 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Omni Hotel downtown. VIP tickets are also available that allow entrance an hour earlier, plus the chance to sample rare and highly allocated bourbons and whiskeys.
While the opportunity to taste whiskeys from all over the world presented by distiller representatives is certainly a highlight of the festival, it’s not the only thing that will be going on as part of the event. The preceding Thursday, Oct. 4, marks the return of the popular “Women in Whiskey” seminar and tasting. This unique presentation will take place at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and will feature six women who are blazing trails in the whiskey biz. Cary Ann Fuller of Straight Up 615 will moderate the discussion, and samples will be offered from each participant’s distillery.
Scheduled to join the panel are:
- Allisa Henley, Sazerac Tennessee
- Andrea Wilson, Michter’s
- Ashley Barnes, Four Roses
- Jane Bowie, Maker’s Mark
- Lisa Roper Wicker, Samson & Surrey (Widow Jane)
- Nicole Austin, George Dickel
Tickets for “Women in Whiskey” are $60 for general admission and $75 for VIP status and are available at
the event website. The Nashville Whiskey Festival is offering general admission tickets for $100, VIP for $150 and designated driver tickets for $50. You can buy yours at the festival’s
ticketing page.
