Yeah, I know that Aug. 21-28 is also Nashville Scene Taco Week, but this week is also the autumnal edition of the Nashville Originals Restaurant Week. We have faith in you — you can handle both!
There are more than 50 restaurants represented in the Nashville Originals, and despite the spate of new restaurant openings lately, these independents still represent the backbone of the city’s culinary scene. To encourage diners to come in and visit an old favorite or find a new one, many of these spots are offering special discounted prix-fixe menus for the week. The list of menus and special deals is constantly being updated on the Originals’ website.
Between Restaurant Week and the Scene’s Tacopalypse, local eateries could get a little crowded this week. (And that’s not even to mention the thousands of visitors in town to watch a dragon swallow the sun.) So do yourself and the restaurants a favor and make reservations first. And keep them.
