Nashville Brew Project

Local breweries and other businesses are coming together again from June 16 to 21 for a reprise of The Nashville Brew Project, a fundraiser for The Nashville Food Project and its good work toward improving the food stream in our city. A six-pack of breweries will donate $1 from each pint sold that week to the NFP to support their work to grow, cook and share nourishing food across Middle Tennessee.

Participating breweries and bars this year include:

Participating pint procurers can check off their visits on a Sip & Support Passport, which you can pick up at the free kickoff party at The Nashville Food Project’s headquarters at 5904 California Ave. in the Nations on Monday, June 15. The party will run from 5 until 8 p.m., and admission is free as long as you RSVP in advance. Attendees will be able to tour the NFP kitchen and enjoy complimentary sips and bites along the way.

Cheers!

If you are a father, have a father or just like really good whiskey, Leiper’s Fork Distillery at 3381 Southall Road in Franklin will be the place to be on Father’s Day, June 21. In honor of fathers of every ilk, they’ll be offering “penny pours” of their whiskeys for dads all day. Tour the distillery or just enjoy a flight of award-winning Tennessee whiskey, bourbon and rye in the distillery’s restored 200-year-old cabin/tasting room.

And you know what you can do with all the money you and/or Dad saved with those one-cent drinks? You could buy a bottle of Leiper’s Fork Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon or Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whiskey

Tennessee Collective

Both of those are fantastic whiskeys, but in addition to them, Leiper’s Fork will also be offering the rare opportunity to purchase a bottle of the rare Tennessee Whiskey Trail 2025 Collaborative Barrel Series release. I wrote about this initiative of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail back in the fall, but in case you missed it, this whiskey is a blend of whiskeys distilled by a dozen different Trail members and then lovingly blended by master distiller Greg Eidam of Sugarlands Distilling Company.

The resulting bottle is truly unique, and will not (and cannot) be replicated. Leiper’s Fork still has some of the coveted bottles for sale, and will put them out on Father’s Day at $79 plus tax. Give Dad something he can’t find anywhere else for his big day!
