Don’t fill up on Halloween candy, because next month has some really attractive dining events coming up. Make plans now for a Thai lunch-and-learn with two noted chefs and a decadent truffle and wine dinner at Iggy’s. Details below.
Nikky Phinyawatana is a Texas-Thai chef who is the author of Thai Food and Travel. On Saturday, Nov. 21, she’ll team up with local hero and fellow Thai cookbook author Arnold Myint for “A Taste of Thailand: Lunch & Learn” at The Nashville Food Project at 5904 California Ave. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and will share the flavors, culture and traditions of Thai cooking while raising funds to support The Nashville Food Project’s work to grow, cook and share nourishing food across Nashville.
This intimate gathering, part of the 2026 A Taste of Thailand Cookbook Tour, will invite guests to "experience the flavors, stories and traditions of Thai cuisine. Each $125 ticket includes lunch, the full lunch-and-learn experience, and a copy of Phinyawatana’s cookbook to take home. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
On Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Poli brothers at Iggy’s are pulling out the stops for a gala Wine & Truffle Dinner featuring a four-course truffle menu expertly paired with wines from Italy’s Piedmont region. Michael D'Amato from Serendipity Imports will introduce the wines and discuss how they fit in with the succulent truffles of the region.
