Iced coffee from Momo Coffee House
Momo Coffee House opened a couple of weeks ago on a stretch of Nolensville Pike that you could probably call a coffee shop desert. Father-and-daughter team Alberto and Ivanna Forero, with help from their family, opened to enthusiasm from the South Nashville community.
Featuring cement-tone walls, ample greenery and fresh flowers on every table, this coffeehouse feels welcoming to people working on their laptops as well as families and friends looking to socialize.
Honey ricotta toast from Momo Coffee House
Momo’s menu consists of bowls, breakfast, fancy toasts (my personal favorite is the honey ricotta toast with fresh peaches and blueberries) and smoothies, all made in-house. Their all-day breakfast menu features picturesque lemon ricotta pancakes (an early favorite, according to the barista) and classic breakfasts, along with Latin-inspired dishes like churro waffles and mangonada smoothies.
In the bakery window you'll find huge croissants from Sift Bakery in East Nashville, delivered fresh daily, and an assortment of fresh empanadas flown in from a Venezuelan bakery in Miami.
Momo serves coffee from fellow locals The Well, and the drink lineup includes standard coffee options as well as a variety of matcha, chai and specialty lattes. The interior is spacious and inviting. But fair warning: The secret is getting out, and tables were getting sparse on my last visit.
