Fans of East Nashville eatery and music venue Mad Donna's were shocked to see this appear on their Facebook page last night:
"The owners would like to extend their sincere appreciation to you all for the last 9 years and are excited to announce exciting details for a new project soon," the restaurant's management posted this morning.
Mad Donna's has been a destination brunch and entertainment spot for nine years; rumors floated Thursday that it would be back very soon.
Noble Nashville posted the text of an email sent to a band scheduled to perform at the venue that said the closure was for “a massive renovation effort.” Multiple Facebook commenters mentioned the television show Bar Rescue, and texts shared with the Scene seemed to indicate that the business will reopen in two weeks with a new name and new look, though under the same management.
