The Local Taco in East Nashville has closed.
The owners of the restaurant, with an address of 1100 Fatherland St., recently announced the closing via social media. It comes a bit more than a year after the Sylvan Park Local Taco ceased operations.
The East Side's Local Taco was housed in a building that in part makes up Martin Corner.
The Sylvan Park building that housed Local Taco, at 4501 Murphy Road, is being prepped for Mexican concept Pancho & Lefty’s, led by Edley’s Bar-B-Que owners Catharine Newman and Will Newman.
“After five wonderful years at this location, we regretfully announce that The Local Taco – East Nashville is closed for business,” the business posted on its Facebook page on July 22. “We’re grateful to our employees and guests, and we’ll miss being part of the neighborhood.”
