Lidia Bastianich
Lesley Lassiter already reported here that noted chef/restaurateur/author Lidia Bastianich is coming to Nashville for a dinner at Mangia Nashville on Tuesday, Oct. 25, but now it turns out she will be sharing two meals in town that day. The Nashville chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier, an organization of women leaders in the food, beverage and hospitality professions, is hosting Bastianich for a three-course luncheon at Margot Café.
Chef Margot McCormack will be preparing dishes from the guest-of-honor’s new cookbook, Lidia’s Mastering the Art of Italian Cuisine, paired with a selection of Bastianich wines. Chef Bastianich will also take part in a discussion over lunch all about Italian cuisine and her love of seasonal ingredients.
Tickets for the luncheon are $50 for meal or $80 for lunch plus a signed copy of Lidia’s Mastering the Art of Italian Cuisine. Both prices include tax and gratuity, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Les Dames d’Escoffier Nashville Scholarship Fund. Tickets are available at the event website.
