There are few, if any, chefs in Nashville who are more talented with creating spicy food than Maneet Chauhan of Chauhan Ale & Masala House and John Lasater of Hattie B’s. In fact, CHef Chauhan has had an homage to Nashville Hot Chicken on her menu since opening. Her Hot Chicken Pakoras rely on a ghost pepper sauce to offer up the heat, so the flavors are a little bit different from traditional Nashville-style, but it is an extremely flavorful offering to the local culinary canon.
So I was excited to hear that Chef Chauhan planned to share her kitchen with Chef Lasater in the latest edition of her “Perfect Pairs” chef series on Saturday, March 25 from noon until 2:00. This fiery lunch will feature three courses with six dishes total as each chef will present his and her take on a unique ingredient chosen by the chefs. The ticket price also includes beverage pairings of wine and a signature cocktail developed by Chauhan.
For a lunch experience that is far beyond the ordinary weekend brunch, visit the event website to purchase your tickets in advance. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, so make sure to nail down your plans. But you wouldn’t want to miss this anyway!
