Can’t get enough of Goo Goo Clusters? Well, right off the bat, if you haven’t tried Thai Esane owner Nina Singto’s spicy contribution to their beloved Summer Chef Series of specialty premium Goo Goos, you really need to get on that before they transition to the next offering.
If you’re looking for another fun variation on the standard Goo Goo, the venerable Nashville company has again partnered with another local favorite for the release of the Goo Goo Cluster Christie Cookie. This treat is made using the classic Christie Cookie dough (made with real butter and brown sugar) and then stuffed with lots of chopped Original Goo Goo Clusters, bringing the classic combination of milk chocolate, marshmallow nougat, caramel and peanuts. As the Grateful Dead sang, “Too much of everything is just enough." This cookie is a special treat for us locals, available exclusively at the Christie Cookie shop in 12South (2606 12th Ave. S.) now through September. The cookies are $3 each.
For purists who don’t want their Goo Goos tricked out with Thai spices or stuffed into cookies, Five Points Pizza has a free treat for you.
