Go Back to School With Wine Education Week

Earlier this year, we told you about WSET, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, an organization dedicated to sharing knowledge about wine and spirits to empower drinkers to make better choices. Locally, Subvino Wine Services is an approved program provider for WSET classes, and they will be a part of the group’s Wine Education Week Sept. 9-15.

In particular, WSET and Subvino will be presenting a class on the wines of Italy called Infinite Italian Varietals at Fenwick’s 300 on Wednesday, Sept. 11, beginning at 5 p.m. For just $50, students will taste through an array of wines from exotic grapes from the far north of Italy to Sicilia, and from Aleatico to Zibbibo, showcasing the vast variety of wines from the region.

Now in its 50th year, WSET’s slogan for the year is “How to Drink Better,” so take advantage of this opportunity to improve your wine knowledge.
