Lamb at Epice
The ownership team behind 12South-based Lebanese bistro Epice announced Wednesday it will open Santo in the soon-to-open mixed-use development Vertis Green Hills. Charlotte-based Brixx Wood Fired Pizza will also take space in the retail component of the development, which has an address of 4000 Hillsboro Pike. Brixx has locations in Franklin and Hendersonville, with the space in Vertis to be its first Nashville location.
The Epice and Santo ownership group — which is also behind longtime Nashville staple Kalamatas — of Maher Fawaz, Andrew Fawaz, Bradley Ryan and Gabe Reyes is billing Santo as “modern Mediterranean,” taking culinary cues from South Europe and North Africa. Like Epice, the restaurant will feature a centerpiece outdoor patio.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Santo, an original, exciting and authentic modern Mediterranean restaurant destination, to Vertis Green Hills,” Paul Neuroth, Southern Land's senior vice president of retail leasing, said in the release. “We are equally pleased to announce a family-friendly favorite in Brixx Wood Fired Pizza. With these new additions as well as Char Restaurant and True Food Kitchen, we’ve fully assembled an exciting and diversified array of culinary offerings at Vertis Green Hills which will have something for everyone.”
In addition to its restaurant offerings, Vertis has already unveiled The Collection at Vertis Green Hills, which is focused on health and wellness. In all, the project will offer 37,000 square feet of retail, 310 luxury rental apartments and penthouses and 45,000 square feet of Class A office space.
