Even though we’re a week out from the end of the World Cup, you can still indulge your fantasies of a European summer vacation at two sultry events courtesy of Cafe Babu, iggy’s and The Chloe. Dig out your capri pants and get ready to party!
First up is a Tapas and Chill party at Cafe Babu in Chestnut Hill at 1044 Third Ave. S. Cafe Babu owner Shivani Darsinos has invited the Brothers Poli (Matthew and Ryan) from iggy’s over to play this Saturday, July 25, starting at 5 p.m. until they sell out. Iggy’s will be providing Basque-inspired tapas while The Whooligan throws down the Euro beats during DJ sets. Tickets to the party are $40, and include all the small-plate offerings until they’re gone. Drinks will be available for purchase, and the organizers encourage you to come ready to move!
Over in Hillsboro Village, the party people at The Chloe invite you to check out their chill pool deck with a Roma Retro afternoon from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 26. Picture a day on the Italian Riviera — lounging poolside while enjoying spritzes, gelato, Italian disco beats and La French Touch tunes. There will also be a curated vintage market for your shopping pleasure.
Roma Retro is free to attend, but you should RSVP in advance before heading to 1906 Acklen Ave. Pool access is first-come, first-served, and you can rent a pool lounger in advance for $15.
