While I selfishly miss the Winter Warmer in Sevier Park because I could ride my bike to that beer festival, the East Nashville Beer Fest is still the measuring stick for local craft beer events. Rhizome Productions is putting on the ENBF for the 15th time, returning to East Park from noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
Visitors can expect more than 40 breweries pouring samples of at least 120 different craft brews. Representatives of the breweries will be on hand to answer your questions, so this is an educational event in addition to being a great time! Eight favorite food trucks will be parked on site to offer comestibles along with the other consumables.
And in case you were wondering, you’re damned straight that the Lucha Libre wrestlers will be returning as part of a day of bouts, because beer and wrestling go together like cheese and crackers! The festival grounds will also feature a vendor village with local artisan craftspeople offering their wares.
As always, the charitable partner of ENBF is the Oasis Center Bike Workshop, which teaches local youths how to construct their own bicycle from the frame up and grants them the bike, a helmet and a toolkit at the completion of the program. To date, the festival has raised well more than $100,000 to support the workshop’s mission.
Tickets are already on sale at the festival website, including designated driver options. Now the small print: This is a 21-and-up event, including designated drivers. Please leave your pets at home for this one. They’ll start scanning tickets at 11:15 a.m., so you can be the first through the gates when they open at noon. All GA tickets include entry to the festival, tasting cup, unlimited samples of all beers, drinking water, and live entertainment. The show will go on, rain or shine. (Or even snow, like back in 2018.)
