Recently, I shared how Nashville SC teamed up with Conexión Américas to promote the nonprofit's Mesa Komal Culinary Incubator Program that is currently supporting nearly 30 businesses in addition to the many other entrepreneurs who have spent time in their kitchens since 2013.
To help raise awareness of and funds for Mesa Komal, they have planned a new upcoming event, Mezcla, a Mexico City–style interactive brunch experience on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Casa Azafrán. The event will feature two beloved local business owners who support the cause: Mikey Corona, owner of Tio Fun Taquería, and Jesse Valenciana, owner of Secret Bodega.
Mezcla costs $75 to attend and will include the opportunity to spend a little time in the kitchen with Corona and Valenciana, where they will all work together to create a few Mexico City-style brunch dishes. Then everyone will sit down at communal tables to enjoy the repast plus drinks.
Because of the intimate opportunity to spend time in the Mesa Komal kitchen, tickets to Mezcla will be limited to only a few dozen people, so you’ll definitely want to make your reservation soon!
