With the proliferation of new boutique hotels downtown near Printers Alley that have sprung up lately in converted bank buildings, it’s easy to forget that the Hotel Indigo at 301 Union St. had that idea years ago. In an effort to remind you that they were boutique when boutique wasn’t cool, they’ve planned a fun Beatles-inspired dinner coming up on Friday, Oct. 11, from 6 to 10 p.m. The theme of the evening is “Come Together,” and it will feature a dinner of Liverpudlian-inspired fare and a performance by local Beatles tribute band, the Wannabeatles.
Here’s the menu for the buffet dinner:
Blackbird — Cajun blackened Joyce Farms chicken breast with red bell pepper cream
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band — Braised three-peppered beef with natural au jus
Here Comes the Sun — Oven-roasted fresh salmon fillet topped with an orange macadamia sauce
I Am the Walrus — Vegan beyond-beef slow-braised in Mediterranean spices
Strawberry Fields Forever — Sweet and tart greens with fresh strawberries, feta cheese, candied pecans and white balsamic basil vinaigrette
Come Together — Warm Moroccan carrots tossed in honey coconut cream and topped with toasted cashews
The Long and Winding Road — Fresh herb-butter kluski noodles
Oh! Darling — Oven-roasted new potatoes
Yellow Submarine — Warm assorted rolls and butter
Got To Get You Into My Life — Key-lime tartlets
I Saw Her Standing There — Dark chocolate mousse
A Day in The Life — Vanilla cheesecake with raspberry sauce
The event will be held in Hotel Indigo’s private event space, Headlines. The cost of the event is $75 plus tax, which includes dinner, two alcoholic beverages and complimentary valet parking, and you can grab your seat for the Magical Mystery Show at the event’s website.
