Eats Around the World

Since launching in Nashville in 2021, Big Table has become an indispensable asset for the local hospitality community. In fact, hospitality is the second-largest employment sector in Davidson County with more than 140,000 workers — many of whom do not earn enough to meet basic living expenses.

Working through a referral system, Big Table’s team has cared for more than 150 workers in Middle Tennessee, offering ongoing assistance with housing instability issues, aiding with medical emergencies and addiction recovery, and addressing transportation challenges, domestic violence or other potential life-altering crises. Beyond emergency assistance, Big Table also provides ongoing coaching and encouragement to move workers toward ongoing stability.

Eats Around the World is Big Table’s biggest annual fundraiser, and this year they’ll be featuring the exotic cuisines of Brazil and Morocco as the participating chefs develop the menu for a dine-around with multiple tasting stations followed by a chef-inspired dinner at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs. The event will go down on Monday, Aug. 24, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Attendees will receive a passport to be stamped at each stop along their culinary journey, and they’ll have the chance to win prizes in a raffle. There will also be live music and all sorts of amazing experiences and prizes available as part of an auction. It’s always great when you can have this much fun doing so much good at the same time!

You can reserve your ticket and preorder bottles of wine for your dinner at the event website.
