The latest addition to the ever-growing literary scene here in Nashville: Shook About Books. Specializing in used books, the shop began as a trailer that traveled to events around town. The store carries virtually every genre, and book prices begin at $1, with a limited selection of CDs also available. Shook About Books has recently moved to its first brick-and-mortar location at Open Invite, a collective of small and woman-owned businesses on East Nashville’s Riverside Drive. The shop is hosting its first-ever book swap at the new location on Thursday, allowing you to bring and trade books with other local readers. Any genre is accepted, all books have to be in good to excellent condition, and any books leftover will be stocked on shelves for guests to purchase. Make sure to BYOB (bring your own bag) and grab a cold Walker Brothers kombucha before hunting for the next title that will leave you absolutely shooketh.
