Down in Florida, the state’s attorney general called on the city of Pensacola to invoke the morality clause in its contract with the operator of the city-owned Saenger Theatre and cancel a visit from this year’s edition of A Drag Queen Christmas — citing all the typical fussbudgetry one has come to expect from the anti-drag crowd. But if it has the attorney general of Florida all in a tizzy, it must be one helluva show. The tour comes to Nashville at the venerable (and privately owned) Ryman Auditorium, where a bad bitch gallimaufry of America’s best queens — including Lexi, Shea Couleé, Jewels Sparkles, Crystal Methyd, Suzie Toot, Brooke Lynn Hytes and Lydia B Kollins — will dance and sing and prance and vixen and bring holiday cheer to the famous stage on the Music City stop of the country’s longest-running drag tour. Celebrate our campiest holiday by thumbing your nose at the grim no-funnies.Â
