Peachy’s debut EP Squirt is packed with grinding, fuzzy guitar riffs, racing percussion and bratty vocals about rich assholes and bodily autonomy. But don’t take the band too seriously — they put the F-U in fun. Their raw sonic blasts are laced with ’70s punk swagger and New Wave nerviness, and they’ve been building a reputation as one of the tightest bands in town since they appeared on the scene in 2018. If you think Peachy is on fire now, the best may be yet to come: They’re capping off the year by recording new music with Bully singer-guitarist Alicia Bognanno, already suggesting something to consider for next year’s Best of Nashville issue.
