It’s been a while since we heard from Forget Cassettes, and the band that’s played under that name lately has seemed like an awkward, more demure sister. At the moment, core Cassettes Beth Cameron and Doni Schroader are putting the finishing touches an album’s worth of material to be released under a different name (probably not Elizabeth GRACE, as they had been known for a few months), but on Friday it will be the bracing, forward, big-sister version of Forget Cassettes, performing most of their last album, Salt. “Everyone was in town at once so we thought it would be fun,” Cameron says. “l’m really excited to get loud again.” The Sincerity Guild and Nite Nite open.
