Watch Jeff Koons describe his new sculpture "Play-Doh," which premiered at the artist's retrospective at Whitney Museum last week, in this video from The New York Times.
The exhibitionof almost 150 objects is the largest the museum has ever mounted on a single artist, and it fills the entirety of the museum's floors. Included are Koons' inflatables, the equilibrium basketball sculptures, his "Made In America" series of erotic photos of himself with pornstar/Italian parliamentarian ex-wife, and on and on. The exhibit remains on view through Oct. 19.
