Be Your Own Pet sounded their death knell from across the Atlantic on August 26. Their final show in London marked the end of an era for kiddie punkers. But guitarist Jonas Stein and drummer John Eatherly continue to melt minds with their less-cutesy-more-noodly psych punk act Turbo Fruits. Along with bassist Max Peebles, the former BYOP members channel the likes of MC5 and T. Rex with a youthful, weed-addled zest that's difficult to find amongst the scores of aging punk and metal enthusiasts in our neck of the woods.
