In Case You Missed It: Amanda Valentine Back on Project Runway!

Last night's Project Runway Season 13 premiere revealed a surprise return guest — Amanda Valentine. The Nashville-based designer, the brains and brawn behind the

label, made it to the finals in Season 11, showing her collection at New York Fashion Week. One of the shining stars of our growing fashion community, we're thrilled to learn that she was voted back by fans — we're assuming you guys

— in the show's Instagram-based #RunwayRedemption contest.

Local Valentine Valentine fans gathered at 308 last night for a viewing party, cheering Amanda on as she faced 15 other designers in the initial challenge to create an unconventional spring look with three fabrics selected from a trunk. They were encouraged to trade/borrow/steal from other competitors, which is slightly dangerous when you consider how many sharp objects are in the PR workroom. Fortunately, this is not Orange Is the New Black, and no blood was drawn.

After the always tense runway show, Valentine approached the judging panel that included host Heidi Klum, bitchy judge in residence/fashion editor Nina Garcia, gorgeous human being/designer Zac Posen and Modern Family's Julie Bowen, Amanda made it to the top three with the hot number below, which she described as "dramatic daywear." Once I completely commit to my ab workout schedule, I am all over this dramatic daywear. THE PANTS!
