The Honky Tonk Angels at Nashville Dinner Theatre

Ted Swindley is the creator of the highly successful Always, Patsy Cline, a musical biography of sorts starring Mandy Barnett that had serious runs in Nashville and has found a national following. Employing his winning formula of mixing established hit songs with a nostalgic feel-good story, Swindley returns with this tale of three women from different backgrounds, all on the same bus bound for Music City and longing to become a country singer. The ladies work more than 30 familiar tunes into their personal stories, including "Stand By Your Man," "Delta Dawn," "Harper Valley PTA," "Ode To Billy Joe" and the Kitty Wells classic "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels." Songs by Dolly Parton and Pam Tillis are also in the lineup. Kaine Riggan directs this local premiere.

Wednesdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 7. Continues through Nov. 23, 2008
