Enter the Wormhole: Neil deGrasse Tyson Comes to TPAC November 18-19

You may know Neil deGrasse Tyson, head of the Hayden Planetarium and possibly the most relatable and entertaining astrophysicist on Earth, as the host of Cosmos, the TV show about life, the universe and everything which aired on Fox last year (which was also an approved update on the 1980 PBS program hosted by one of Tyson's mentors, the late Carl Sagan). Though his presentations don't dig that deep, Tyson's ability to get audiences excited about exploring what makes our universe tick — things that scientists literally spend lifetimes trying to understand — is nothing short of phenomenal. You may remember his visit to Vanderbilt in the fall of 2012, a discussion revolving around 10 things everyone should know about the universe, which the Scene's D. Patrick Rodgers

broke down for us

in a handy guide.

You may also remember finding out about the event just in time for the tickets to sell out. If you thought that seeing a presentation from Tyson in person might be on your bucket list forever, take heart: Word just hit the Web that Tyson is coming back to Music City this November, this time for two nights at TPAC's Jackson Hall. Tickets will run from $47-$177 (the VIP option includes a signed book and a photo opp) and go on sale this Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. right here.
