Dec. 10 is the 36th anniversary of the death of cult filmmaker Edward D. Wood Jr., and the perfect segue to remind theatergoers that Nashville composer Rick Tell’s Indiegogo campaign in support of his Ed Wood the Musical will end on Dec. 9 at 11:59 p.m.
Tell seeks resources to mount a serious workshop production of his project, which has been a longstanding labor of love and a showcase for his undeniably inventive, powerfully eclectic score — first heard publicly in Nashville at a June reading.
Tell’s musical palette is impressively broad. and he’s clearly an accomplished digital music-master. Sample the remarkably conceived and arranged Ed Wood songs at Tell's Soundcloud page.
