Even if you aren't familiar with Posehn's stand-up, you'd likely recognize his gargantuan stature, avian features and awkward, froggy voice from his many film and television appearances. Whether it's his contributions on Just Shoot Me and the gone-too-soon work of genius that was Bob Odenkirk and David Cross' Mr. Show, his stint with fellow comedic giants Patton Oswalt, Zack Galifianakis and Maria Bamford on Comedians of Comedy or his brief cameo as the ill-fated Jimmy in Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects, Posehn never fails to bring his painfully uneasy delivery to a role. The self-proclaimed metal head/horror fanboy even recently co-wrote his very own comic book, The Last Christmas, which chronicles the sordid adventures of Santa Claus as he fights hordes of zombies in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. But it's in his routine that this epic nerd shines his brightest, waxing dorkily on the dangers of "false metal."
