Oh, Nashville, you've changed so much in just 365 days. Some favorite old restaurants have closed down, while great new ones have opened. We've got a new mayor. Bands have broken up, others have formed from the ashes. And a new crop of fervent politicians have come out of the woodwork just in time for the midterm elections. So it's time, once again, to celebrate some of our very favorite people, places and things in the city — voting is now open for our 2018 Best of Nashville issue! Go to bestofnashville2018.com right now to cast your ballot.
We want to know who and what you love in Nashville, from the best blog to the best bagel, the best political campaign to the best podcast. There are six categories total, with hundreds of subcategories. And this year we have added something new: The Kids category is now Kids & Pets, so you can give a nod to your favorite dog parks, groomers, pet shops and more.Â
Here's the breakdown:Â
Best Band, Best Art Gallery, Best Mural, Best Movie Theater, etc.
Best Bar, Best Restaurant, Best Hot Chicken, Best Ice Cream, etc.
Best Outdoor Fun, Best Playground, Best Place to Have a Birthday Party, Best Pet Store, etc.
Best Attorney, Best Spa, Best Florist, Best Gift Shop, etc.
Best Blog, Best Instagram, Best Podcast, Best TV News Station, Best Sports Writer, etc.Â
Best Sports Mascot, Best Titans Player, Best Weekend Getaway, Best College Sports Team, etc.
So get to voting! It's election day, after all. What better way to flex that democratic muscle than to choose who'll be on the ballot in November and who'll be featured in our Best Of issue in October on the same day?
Some rules: One ballot per person, and you may vote once per category. You must vote in at least 25 categories for your ballot to be counted. If you need to take some time to decide, you may leave your partially filled ballot and return at any point during the submission time to change or add your votes as long as you are logged in.
Voting ends Sept. 6.Â
