Where to Eat Out on Thanksgiving

Marsh House

Only 10 percent of Americans eat out on Thanksgiving, which means 90 percent of us are masochists. Dining out on Thanksgiving is a smart move! It’s clean and easy, and it just feels luxurious to end your day drinking a cocktail in a hotel bar rather than elbow-deep in dishes splashing dirty water onto your sweatpants. Here are 10 great places to do it in Nashville: Merchants ($24 plate; $55 for a three-course feast including crunchy fried chicken); Marsh House (four-course seafood-heavy prix-fixe starting at $60 per person); Monell’s (Germantown or by the airport; first-come, first-served, no reservations, just like Granny); Gray & Dudley ($35 per person for a locally sourced feast); Makeready Libations & Liberation at Noelle (three courses, family-style, $38 per person); Chauhan Ale and Masala House (turkey or paneer plus nine sides for $32 per person); Kitchen Notes at Omni Hotel ($55 for adults, $30 for kids; includes everything from tenderloin and turkey to crab legs); Stompin’ Grounds at the JW Marriott ($55-plus for dressed-up staples such as pork belly deviled eggs); The 404 Kitchen (Big Green Egg and bourbon buffet for $52 per person); Sperry’s ($32 per person at Cool Springs and Belle Meade; Turkey haters can also order off the regular menu).
