You gotta find solace where you can these days. For me, it comes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday — that’s when The TRY Channel drops new episodes on YouTube. Coming all the way from Ireland, this channel features a crew of Irish men and women partaking in everything from fine cuisine and snacks from around the world to hot sauces and extremely potent forms of alcohol. (It’s these videos that are the most popular — and the most Irish.) But the real fun comes from watching these colorful characters play off each other when they’re paired up. You get fascinating figures like fashionista Ciara O’Doherty, who seems impervious to anything alcohol- or pepper-related; actor (and one-time Game of Thrones bit player) Dermot Ward, who is the complete opposite; and YouTuber Leather Jacket Guy, who thinks everything is better with a cabbage leaf from his pocket.
