Most of us should be so lucky as to become famous by accident — the success of artists like Trinidad Cardona keep the dream alive in the minds of the quixotic musicians who contribute to the 300 hours of content uploaded to YouTube every minute. In Cardona’s case, an off-the-cuff freestyle performance recorded between classes at school quickly racked up a whopping 7 million views after being uploaded. Cardona went on to release an official studio version of the ’90s-tinged R&B viral hit “Jennifer.” One year and some 20 million views later, the 19-year-old singer was inking a deal with Island Records after CEO David Massey saw the clip and decided to sign him on the spot. By no means a household name, Cardona — now 20 — has graduated high school and has a story that’ll keep starry-eyed bedroom crooners working that much harder for years to come. His Nashville show opens with a stack of support acts: local rapper Houston Kendrick; YouTuber Chad Tepper; Dallas, Texas-based hip-hop artist Fat Pimp; R&B singer Ria Marie; and rapper Tyson Tae. 8 p.m. at The End, 2219 Elliston Place SETH GRAVES
