Come join the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra in a Tour de France. The NPO, with chorus and soprano soloist Rebekah Alexander, will perform music by three composers who represent the unique sounds, musical styles and culture of France, along with the scope of early 20th century music. The performance will feature the jazz roots of Gershwin's An American in Paris, to the impressionism of Debussy's La Mer, to the genre-bending playfulness and contrasts in Poulenc's Gloria. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. There will be two performances, one at 4:30 p.m. on Mar. 1 at Nashville State Community College H Building Auditorium, and one at 7 p.m. on Mar. 3 at Croft Design Center Middle School.
